Now that Nagy is the head coach, he's begun to assemble his staff for the 2018 season and beyond.

He spent the past six seasons coaching Notre Dame's offensive line.

Helfrich is Nagy's fourth reported coaching hire and the first without ties to Lovie Smith's Bears staff.

Walmart to raise its starting wage to $11 an hour
Rival retailer Target Corp raised its minimum wage to $11 in September, and said it would raise its minimum wage to $15 by 2020. While companies and states have increased salaries in recent years, the $7.25 federal minimum wage has not budged since 2009.

Helfrich worked under Chip Kelly at OR, creating one of the most dynamic offenses in college football.

Former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich is heading to the NFL.

During his four seasons leading Oregon, Helfrich compiled a 37-16 record.

Packers won't play in London in 2018
Wembley Stadium has another two games as London stages three consecutive weeks of American football for the first time. The league held one game each year there from 2007 to 2012, then added a second annual game in 2013.

Helfrich has never coached in the National Football League before, but he worked for current Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter at Boise State before a successful run at OR under Kelly, the former Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers coach. Helfrich's experience with that system should pay dividends. Obviously, Nagy will have his own philosophy, having been Andy Reid's offensive coordinator for the past two seasons in Kansas City. Helfrich used the spread offense in college and will bring some of those elements to the Bears' offense.

A large reason why Nagy was hired to be the Bears HC is to groom second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. His speciality has been working with quarterbacks during his career, having coached the position at Boise State, Arizona State (under current Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter), Colorado and Oregon.
