"In light of recent events, we have chose to remove Logan Paul's channels from Google Preferred", a YouTube spokesperson said in a statement to NPR on Thursday, referring to the program connecting advertisers with top-tier content producers on the site.

Now Google is also planning to spend extra efforts vetting those videos as a response to advertisers who expressed concerns about the content in the videos as well as Paul's video, Bloomberg News reported.

YouTube star Logan Paul earlier announced he was stepping away from posting videos "to reflect" following an outcry when he uploaded images of the body and his reaction to finding it in the forest. The video site had initially given Paul a strike for posting a violent and graphic content that goes against the community guidelines. It issued a "strike" against Paul's channel for violating its community rules after the video was published. Soon after the group started walking into the forest, Paul stumbled upon the body and recorded the body hanging from a tree with the face blurred out.

The first video prompted another apology from Paul, where he commented on his severe lapse of judgment and doesn't expect forgiveness.

Dark Souls Remastered Confirmed For Nintendo Switch
Dark Souls Remastered will include the Artorias of the Abyss DLC from the start, as well as an increased resolution and framerate. So far Bandai Namco has only announced the Trilogy Box for Japan and for the PlayStation 4 .

Paul was also removed from Google Preferred, a premium advertising scheme on videos by the most popular YouTubers. The video was watched over six million times, and after the huge criticism, it was finally taken down.

YouTube has punished star United States blogger Logan Paul over a video that appeared to show him giggling after discovering a dead body in a Japanese forest notorious for suicides.

However, the greatest punishment YouTube gave Paul was his removal from its Google Preferred Program.

This follows hot on the heels of YouTube restricting a video Nathan Zed about the subject and - lest we forget - never demonetised Logan's "suicide forest" or in fact restricting it in any way.

Walmart to raise its starting wage to $11 an hour
Rival retailer Target Corp raised its minimum wage to $11 in September, and said it would raise its minimum wage to $15 by 2020. While companies and states have increased salaries in recent years, the $7.25 federal minimum wage has not budged since 2009.

It seems YouTube has taken action against Logan Paul, only one day after the platform tweeted that it was looking to take further action.

Paul's YouTube channel has more than 15 million subscribers.

YouTube in an open letter on Tuesday said it was "upset by the video that was shared last week", saying that "suicide is not a joke, nor should it ever be a driving force for views".
