"So, THIS just happened: I had the police called on me for attempting to use a coupon at the CVS Pharmacy located at 6150 N. Broadway in Chicago!".
According to Hudson, the second manager said it looked "fraudulent" and refused to answer her questions.
Hudson connected her experience to a spate of incidents-most famously the case of "Barbecue Becky"-in which white onlookers called the police on African Americans for littleor no reason". Officers did not generate a police report and "peace was restored", the spokesperson said. "Our Region Director in Chicago contacted Ms. Hudson as soon as we were made aware of this incident".
