A child died after allegedly being catapulted more than 3 metres into the air when a jumping castle "exploded" on a packed beach in Norfolk, England.

A Home Office post-mortem is due to take place this afternoon to determine the cause of her death.

Norfolk Police have cordoned off a section of the beach while they investigate the incident.

Conservative MP Robert Halfon called for the ban on Twitter Sunday evening.
