A number of videos on social media show the plane flying over the area in an erratic manner. They attempted to divert the aircraft toward the Pacific Ocean while maintaining radio communication with controllers and Russell.

"Commercial aircrafts are complex machines".

An air traffic controller called the man "Rich", and tried to convince him to land the airplane.

"I really think they could have handled it better". They should've gone over and said "Hey, ' if nothing else, 'Can I help you?"

The sheriff's department described the man as suicidal. It did not elaborate.

"This is probably jail time for life, huh?" he later says, according to a recording published by The Seattle Times.

Later the man said: "I've got a lot of people that care about me". We're trying to contact the military.

"I don't know, man", the pilot answers. At one point, Russell told a controller he had played a lot of video games.

New Chelsea star Jorginho has an unbelievable penalty routine
We hit the bar twice - once when we were 1-0 down after conceding a very unlucky goal from a deflection. The best capacity was to suffer, but then I think the second half maybe they were exhausted ".

As heard in the recording, an air traffic control staffer works with the man to find a place to land.

The man responds: "Awwww-right ... dammit".

"I'm down to 2,100 (pounds) [952 kilos]", he says, "I don't know what the burnage is like on takeoff, but it burned quite a bit faster than I expected". "You want me to ride the brakes in the cockpit" or 'Hey, what are you doing?' Nobody did that", said Kelly. "I hope they can make it through this", he added.

There were some stunts performed apparently by the plane over the sound and then he crashed into Ketron Island a small, not very highly populated wooded island, just off shore here.

The airline was coordinating with the Federal Aviation Administration, the FBI and the National Transportation Safety Board, he said.

Per CNN, the man also had some freaky and heartbreaking radio correspondence from the cockpit before the 76-seat Horizon Air turboprop went down.

An allegedly suicidal man stole an aircraft from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and prompted a security scare as authorities scrambled two fighter jets to "do whatever necessary" in order to keep the people Washington state safe.

"NORAD fighters did not fire upon the aircraft", North American Aerospace Defense Command said Saturday morning in a news release. The jets' capability was appropriate to the potential task, one of the sources said, without offering details.

Making the finals here is incredible. "I just went all the way also on her forehand, short, cross, long, everything". The Ukrainian even got a service break to close the gap to 5-3, but Stephens broke right back to take the set.

The FBI is involved in the investigation, Troyer said. "Witnesses said a. plane is going down".

Questions have been raised about how a plane can be stolen from a busy airport.

Leah Morse, who filmed the jet flying overhead, told news agency Reuters she felt in her "gut something was wrong" after spotting the plane.

"Hey all! My names Richard Russell, I'm 27 and now living in Sumner, WA with my incredible wife Hannah".

After the plane approached Ketron Island, Waldron saw a thick column of smoke followed by a loud explosion, he said. He briefly turned away, then turned back and saw the explosion as the plane crashed. Based on video from KIRO 7, the crash has started a forest fire on the island. The plane was "highly fragmented and the wings are off", she said.

The air-traffic control says they don't have those weapons.

Officials said yesterday that to their knowledge, he wasn't a licensed pilot.

"Last night's event is going to push us to learn what we can from this tragedy so that we can ensure this does not happen again at Alaska Air Group or at any other airline".
