Sunita Williams among 9 astronauts for NASA’s new private space flight programme

NASA will name 1st astronauts to fly commercial spacecraft to International Space Station SpaceX Will Fly Astronauts Before Boeing: NASA

The aviation companies will be conducting test flights at the end of this year and next, and astronauts will leave for the global space station Cape Canaveral in Florida next spring or summer.

NASA announced on Friday the astronauts who will crew the Boeing and SpaceX spacecraft, the first time Americans will return to space in hopes of reaching the International Space Station from Florida's Space Coast since 2011.

The crew assignments came a day after NASA issued new schedules for the uncrewed and crewed test flights, pushing back the flights by several months from earlier schedules. Boeing said only that it would fly NASA's astronauts by the middle of next year.

NASA paid seed money to SpaceX and Boeing to incentivize them to develop the crew capsules, picking up where the shuttle program left off. He retired from NASA in 2011 and has been an integral part of Boeing's CST-100 Starliner program. NASA astronauts Eric Boe and Nicole Aunapu Mann are slated for the test flight of Boeing's Starliner, accompanied by former NASA astronaut Chris Ferguson, who now works as a commercial astronaut for Boeing.

Google Clock App Adds "Musical Mornings" With Spotify, YouTube Music Is Next
It's a pretty curious choice considering Google could use YouTube Music or Google Play Music, but went with Spotify instead. They'll also have the option of choosing one of the premade morning playlists put together by Spotify .

This will be the first trip into space for Mr. Glover, Mr. Cassada and Ms. Mann.

NASA introduces the astronauts assigned to the first flights of Boeing's CST-100 Starliner and SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft. Boeing and Space Adventures, the USA company that arranged space tourist flights on Russian Soyuz spacecraft, have a partnership that could allow paying passengers to ride in a fifth seat on CST-100 missions for shorter-duration missions.

Air Force Colonel Bob Behnken is one of two test pilots for the Space-X CRE Dragon.

Similarly, the first Starliner is being now being outfitted for launch at Kennedy Space Center, and the test flight's Atlas V Centaur upper stage-never flown in the dual-engine configuration-ships to Florida in August.

State Law reeks of fascism, apartheid
But it doesn't eliminate those democratic components, which are enshrined in numerous other Basic Laws, nor was it meant to do so. I'm skeptical that the law will achieve its intended objective , but I see no good reason why it shouldn't exist in principle.

NASA ended the shuttle program seven years ago after 135 missions as the space agency shifted its priorities to developing hardware for deep space travel.

The missions are expected to take the astronauts to and from the International Space Station. Suni Williams, who is best known for running the Boston Marathon on an ISS treadmill, will be joined by rookie astronaut Josh Cassada.

In addition to naming the crews of the test flights, NASA also announced the four astronauts who will fly aboard the first operational Starliner and Dragon missions to the space station.

"It's absolutely an opportunity of a lifetime", said Mann, who was selected as an astronaut in 2013. Initially, all four crew members trained on both vehicles, but with flights just a year away, NASA is now assigning the crew to specific missions. "Our commitment has always been to provide NASA and those crews the highest level of mission assurance", he said in the statement.

China says United States ‘disappoints’ the world with trade war
The Chinese government did not specify what types of American products would be affected or when those tariffs would take effect. A fall in exchange rates could neutralise the U.S. tariffs by making Chinese goods cheaper for overseas customers to buy.

Boeing's and SpaceX's commercial spacecraft may also open the space station - and more broadly, Earth orbit - to more privately-funded visitors and spaceflight participants from countries that do not have their own domestic crewed spacecraft and rockets. NASA picked Crew Dragon and Starliner to replace the space shuttle for ISS transportation back in 2014.
