But Christine Blasey Ford's allegation isn't uncorroborated: According to the Washington Post, which revealed her name and the details of her story on Sunday, Ford's claim appears in years-old therapy notes.

"I thought he might inadvertently kill me", says Ford, 51, and a professor at Palo Alto University in California.

"He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing", Ford said.

Ford's allegations follow what was reported by the New Yorker on Friday: At a party in high school, Kavanaugh and a schoolmate (both of whom vehemently deny the allegations) got her into a room. Sixty-five senators met individually with Judge Kavanaugh during a almost two-month period before the hearing began, yet Feinstein didn't share this with her colleagues ahead of many of those discussions.

"I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation". Kavanaugh has denied the allegations. Dianne Feinstein of California, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, for some time.

Though a number of Democrats have called for Kavanaugh's confirmation vote to be delayed, a GOP judiciary spokesperson has told TIME the vote has not been rescheduled. He also told the New York Times that Kavanaugh was a "brilliant student" who loved sports and was not "into anything insane or illegal".

The board will cast its final vote on the curriculum re-do in November. Eliminating Clinton will save about 30 minutes of teachers' time.

But others have spoken out against Republicans for trying to push through Kavanaugh's confirmation without giving proper investigation to the charges.

She said she recalls a small family room where she and a handful of others drank beer together that night. "Her story is very credible and I believe her", Sen. "Along with another male, Kavanaugh locked the door from the inside and played loud music that the accuser said precluded successful attempts to yell for help". The spokesman, Taylor Foy, said Feinstein, who was first notified of the allegation in late July, should have brought the matter to the panel earlier.

"For too long, when woman have made serious allegations of abuse, they have been ignored".

TPM's requests for comment to the White House press office and to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnnell's (R-KY) office went unanswered Sunday.

Yet, one lawmaker being closely watched for her reaction is Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine.

President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual assault, but it seems the White House considers the accusation part of a larger battle for men. She says that both assailants were "stumbling drunk" at the time, and that Kavanaugh himself pinned her to the bed and tried to take off her clothes. He put his hand over her mouth when she tried to scream, she said.

Brock Long, FEMA Administrator, Under Investigation For Personal Travel
Craig Fugate, FEMA administrator under President Obama, told Politico that he rarely used government vehicles in his eight years on the job.

The Post reported that Ford discussed the alleged incident in 2012 during couples therapy with her therapy and that portions of the therapist's notes were reviewed by the newspaper.

She only escaped when Judge also jumped into the fray, knocking them all onto the floor. His friend, Mark Judge, has said he has no memory of it. She says there were four boys at the party but only two carried out this alleged assault.

"We also must respect and listen to Dr. Ford, who is now a target of personal attacks because she had the courage to come forward", the Illinois Democrat said in a statement.

According to the Post, she sent a letter to Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) in late July, and that was forwarded to Sen.

Feinstein had issued a vague news release Thursday saying she had information about Kavanaugh that she had referred to federal investigative authorities, but she did not name the individual who provided the information.

"Sexual assault, in high school, from an anonymous source?"
