Multiple media outlets are reporting that longtime Detroit Tigers TV announcers Mario Impemba and Rod Allen will not return to the booth for the 2019 season.

As expected, the Detroit Tigers will have a new television broadcast team next season.

Both were suspended for the last month of the season after a reported physical altercation took place in the broadcast booth when the Tigers were in Chicago on September 4th.

The altercation was because of a disagreement over a chair in the booth, sources told Local 4.

"We have not commented because Fox Sports Detroit is handling this professionally and thoroughly".

Impemba, 55, had been the Tigers' play-by-play man since 2002 and Allen, 58, had been the team's color commentator since 2003.
