UK intelligence chief to make rare public speech

World War 3: MI6 chief in STARK WARNING to Russia and ISIS - 'Do not underestimate us' UK's MI6 Chief to Urge Russia 'Not to Underestimate Our Determination'

This is only the second speech that Younger has given in his four years of as the head of the Secret Intelligence Service, who is planning to single out Russian Federation for its "malign behaviour", as well as saying that any other "state intent on subverting our way of life [should] not. underestimate our determination and our capabilities, or those of our allies".

In order to keep Great Britain safe from rogue regimes intent on "perpetual confrontation" with the United Kingdom, M16 Chief Alex Younger is calling for a new era of spying, The Telegraph has reported.

Skripal, an officer in Russian military intelligence, betrayed dozens of spies to MI6, though he was later pardoned and exchanged in a Cold War-style spy swap.

He described how MI6 helped expose the perpetrators said to be behind the Salisbury nerve agent attack and how it helped co-ordinate the expulsion of Russian diplomats.

Britain identified the nerve agent deployed in the English town of Salisbury as Novichok, a highly potent group of nerve agents developed by the Soviet military in the 1970s and 1980s.

Nigel Farage quits Ukip over party's 'extremism' direction
Mr Farage has said the appointment of Robinson to Ukip signals the party has become a "party of street activism". UKIP subsequently said the NEC had voted "overwhelmingly" against a motion of no confidence.

The speech, to students at his old university of St Andrews in Scotland, is only the second in public in the four years since Younger has been "C".

Younger said he was focused on making sure Russian Federation paid a price for any attacks on Britain high enough to ward them off in the future.

"Our intention is for the Russian state to conclude that, whatever the benefits it thinks it is accruing from this activity, they are not worth the risk", said Younger.

He explained: "We exposed the perpetrators and coordinated the largest ever collective expulsion of Russian intelligence officers from North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and partner states, significantly degrading Russian intelligence capability".

Speaking at St Andrews University, where he once studied, Younger, 55, will say that Britain's spies have thwarted multiple Islamic State plots originating overseas. That's in direct contrast, they say, with the disinformation spread by Russian Federation and its operatives flouting global law.

Panelo said Malacañang will "never interfere with the function of the judiciary" as well as the other branches of government. In March, the Securities and Exchange Commission revoked Rappler's operating license for violating foreign ownership rules.

And he will talk of the need for "fourth-generation espionage", fusing human skills with technical innovation.

Asked about his responsibility for state-sponsored terrorism during a news conference at the G-20, Putin dismissed the question as a matter for "the conscience of those who say that".

MI6 continues to work with partner agencies to strengthen "indispensable security ties" in Europe, he said, adding that Britain had helped France and Germany prevent terrorist attacks.

"I urge Russian Federation or any other state intent on subverting our way of life not to underestimate our determination and our capabilities, or those of our allies", he added.

And in a direct appeal to students, Mr Younger highlighted the need for diversity in MI6, saying: "I want to speak to young people who have never seen themselves in MI6".

Studs and Duds From the Ravens' Week 13 Win Over the Falcons
The Ravens (7-5) have bolstered their AFC wild-card position since Jackson took over at quarterback for the injured Joe Flacco. It will up to Matt Ryan and Julio Jones to try to salvage what's left of a disappointing season against the rejuvenated Ravens.

And Mr Younger will talk about facing "adversaries who regard themselves as being in a state of perpetual confrontation" with the UK.
