Africa was the most streamed song of 2017, clocking up 440 million views on Youtube. He told the BBC that the solar batteries will keep the song going forever.

Somewhere amid the sand dunes of the world's oldest desert croons a soft voice: "It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you". Weezer famously made a cover of the song past year, and Pitbull's sampling of the song was featured on the Aquaman soundtrack.

A Namibian-German artist claims his sound installation in the Namib Desert, which is set to play "Africa" by Toto, will play the famous song forever.

Supermac's wins trademark battle in case against fast food giant McDonalds
Supermac's asked the European Union Intellectual Property Office to cancel McDonald's use of the trademarks in certain fields. Now the EUIPO said that McDonald's had not proven genuine use of the contested trademark as a burger or as a restaurant name.

It is not the first time Africa has been played on loop.

"Set in the Namib desert, which is not only the oldest desert in Africa but the world, I set up a sound installation which pays tribute to probably the most popular song of the last four decades, Toto's Africa", writes Max.

Fittingly called Toto Forever, it uses a solar-powered MP3 player hooked up to six speakers situated on pedestals to broadcast the kalimba-heavy song into the surrounding dunes.

Ren said there is no law in China that requires any company to install a mandatory back door to telecommunications equipment. Ren said that he misses his daughter very much but is optimistic that justice will prevail in the end.

The odds of Siedentopf's installation blessing the rains for all eternity are rather slim of course. "I think that's a great compliment", he tells BBC News.

He went on to explain that he sees "Toto Forever" as "a treasure that only the most loyal of Toto fans can find".

The exact location of the sound installation was not disclosed by the artist.

TIDAL Streaming Numbers Under Investigation for Fraud
A lawyer for Tidal has responded to the claims, saying "Tidal is not a suspect in the underlying investigation". DN has repeatedly made claims based on information we believe may be falsified.

Mr Siedentopf says he hopes the song will play for another 55 million years.
