Amazon Expected To Enter Video Game Streaming Business, Speaking To Publishers

Report: Amazon is developing its own game streaming service Amazon reportedly working on game streaming service, talking to publishers about signing up

With movies and TV shows already up in the cloud, it's inevitable that video games will be joining them, as it is learned Amazon is developing their own streaming video game service. Details are scant at the moment, but it's fair to assume the online retailer wants to create a Netflix-style on-demand platform for playing video games.

However, Amazon is not the first company to enter the field of streaming video games. It nearly compels Amazon to push for this initiative now with the key competitors raising their own game streaming services.

Two folks familiar with Amazon's plans gabbled them to The Information, spouting that the company has the goal of bringing its own game streaming service to the world come 2020, though that date will be the at the earliest, so it might take a little longer to get set up.

Lieberman added in the interview the Democrats will lose voters in the long term if Ocasio-Cortez's ideas are endorsed. Congresswoman and Westchester County high school graduate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is embroiled in a new controversy.

Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Google, and Nvidia are all getting into the game streaming business with an increased sense of urgency and Amazon has a lot going for it.

Should the service pan out, however, Amazon would nearly certainly include it on Amazon Fire TV Edition screens and Amazon Fire TV devices, plus tablets and smartphones. And this news emerges as Google's Project Stream nears an official launch, coming later in 2019, and Microsoft's Project xCloud gathers momentum, with public trials expected soon. A launch isn't likely until next year at the earliest, said one of the people briefed on the plans.

Gaming in the cloud has not exactly exploded in popularity just yet, but the timing is interesting.

Now the real question is, do we need yet another streaming service?

An increasing number of companies are trying their hand at game streaming services, which remains a niche sector but could one day be huge. It's unknown if it will be a part of Amazon Prime or priced as a separate platform.

It offers tools through its cloud computing division, Amazon Web Services, to help developers build games.

Bafana Legend Masinga Passes Away
It is not right, ' Buddha Mathathe, South African Masters and Legend Football Association told TimesLIVE . Masinga was also a member of the victorious 1996 Africa Cup of Nations squad.

It's unknown how much Amazon will charge for its new cloud gaming service.
