Speed Limit feature on Google Maps expanding in US | newkerala.com #91521

Speed limit feature now showing up in Google Maps for some users Speed limits get the green light on Google Maps

Not only does Google Maps display speed limits on the navigation screen, per Android Police, as is the case for Waze and other navigation apps, but it'll also alert you to upcoming speed traps.

Speed limits in Google Maps aren't technically new seeing as how they kind of launched in July 2017, but only in the San Franciso Bay Area in the United States and Rio de Janeiro over in Brazil.

'World's oldest man' dies in Japan at 113
Last year Guinness officially recognized Nomaka as the world's oldest man after the death of Spaniard Francisco Nunez Olivera. Nonaka had outlived all of his siblings as well as two of the five children he had with his wife, who died in 1992.

As we've mentioned several times in recent weeks, even though it's a much more complete (and complex) application, Google Maps still cannot compete with Waze when it's time to travel by auto. But Google has a way to avoid speeding tickets in the USA and let you be a law-abiding citizen of the States.

When users click on the report button, it'll give them the option to "add a report" for a collision or a speed trap - hotspots where police are believed to be pulling over drivers in large numbers. I don't know what took Google so long, but I'll take it. They received three different tips last night saying the feature had popped up for Google Maps users in New York City, Los Angeles and Minnesota.

The Queen attends church in Sandringham but no Duke
The crash took place on Thursday near the royal family's Sandringham Estate, in Norfolk county, some 185 kms northeast of London . The crash dominated tabloid coverage in the United Kingdom , with both the Daily Mail and the Sun leading their websites with it.

There's no telling when the feature will roll out to all Google Maps users. There's no word on whether the feature will be widely rolled out to other users or even to other cities, but it could depend on the area.

As soon as road safety warnings and speed limit warnings are made available globally, just a simple feature will be missing to make the transition complete. Google Maps does not quite have that functionality yet, but that might be coming in the near future. Such features were popularized by the navigation app Waze, which Google previously acquired. Now speed limit signs are appearing in Google Maps. Google Maps had been lacking some of the features which were present in Waze which is another navigational app by Google.
